Congress urges Governor Narasimhan to stop Chandrasekhar Rao's Secretariat plans

The party also asked the Chief Minister to expedite construction of 2BHK houses for the poor.

Hyderabad: The Congress has urged Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan to stop Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao from demolishing the Secretariat building citing ‘vastu defects’ and construction a new one at a cost of Rs 350 crore of taxpayers’ money. The party also asked the Chief Minister to expedite construction of 2BHK houses for the poor.

In separate letters to the Governor and Chief Minister, Congress senior leader Mohd. Ali Shabbir wrote that the state government has no valid or scientific reasons to justify the demolition of present Secretariat building. He said that the CM is obsessed with vastu.
