Srikanth slams TD legislators for 'failure' to attend assembly

Vijayawada: YSRC MLA from Rayachoti, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, has slammed Telugu Desam legislators for their failure to participate in the Assembly discussion on the AP skill development scam and other irregularities of the previous TD term.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, the MLA said the TD legislators, who claimed that their party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu was innocent, failed to prove that he was honest, when they were given an opportunity to do so in the assembly.
He called upon the people to understand that the TD’s objective was only to gain power and loot public property.
He said the people were aware that corruption took place during the TD rule, beginning from Neeru-Chettu in rural areas to the construction of toilets. With regard to the development of Amavarati as the capital city, Naidu, his son Lokesh and former minister Narayana indulged in corrupt practices, he alleged.
Referring to the allegations of Naidu’s wife Nara Bhuvaneswari that she was subjected to humiliation by the YSRC leaders at a public meeting, he urged her to remember how Naidu used unsavoury remarks against Jagan Reddy’s mother Vijayamma and sister Sharmila in the assembly while discussing the case of murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.
