Kishan Reddy Accuses Telangana CM of Neglecting Airport Development

HYDERABAD: Union minister and BJP chief G. Kishan Reddy on Friday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of not responding to letters sent by the Centre for land acquisition for setting up airports.

Speaking to media persons on Friday, Kishan Reddy said that the Centre had provided '9 lakh crore to Telangana over nine years. However, the BRS government did not extend cooperation with the Centre.

Responding to a question, Kishan Reddy said he did not require any certificate from the Chief Minister and minister K.T. Rama Rao on development works done in Telangana. "KCR was Union minister when the Congress was in power. What did he do for Telangana? Being a Union ninister, I brought lakhs of crores of funds to Telangana for development work. Whenever Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Telangana, the Chief Minister is down with fever," Kishan Reddy said.

Kishan Reddy clarified that the Centre had invited Chandrasekhar Rao but he had never attended any official programme of the Prime Minister in Telangana.
