Anantapur: Anantapur MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy has lashed out at the Centre and actor politician Pawan Kalyan over the Special category status demand.
The veteran leader’s outburst against Pawan Kalyan came after the latter said MPs were rich and involved in business instead of fighting for genuine cause.
“The MP's earnings are negligible for me. Business for my family was there even before my birth,” he said and added that the MPs could only protest with placards and slogans during parliament sessions.
“If Pawan Kalyan raises the special category status issue, all MPs would follow the Jana Sena chief by convincing the chief minister,” he said.
Pawan Kalyan, he said, has had no experience in politics but was making allegations against TD leaders instead of mounting pressure on Modi.
The Anantapur MP also recalled that the BJP had ignored the Telugu Desam after the elections, though it was an ally of the main ruling party at the Centre.
