Ramesh Chennithala wants J P Nadda to quit
He told reporters here that it was the biggest scandal in the medical sector.

Kottayam: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has demanded the resignation of Mr J.P. Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, over the medical college scam in the state. He told reporters here that it was the biggest scandal in the medical sector. The Union Health Ministry had granted permission to 70 medical colleges in 16 days from May 15 to 31 without verifying the infrastructural facilities in the colleges, he said.
Responding to queries, he said the violence in Thiruvananthapuram was meant to divert the people’s attention from the government’s decision to hand over the Kovalam palace to the RP group. "The government has failed to contain the violence. The attacks take place in the presence of the police," he said. Referring to the Janata Dal (U), he said it will not leave the UDF. The UDF had never asked the Kerala Congress (M) to quit the front, he added. He demanded a probe into the conspiracy regarding the allegations against Kovalam MLA M. Vincent.
