There is no need for a post in life, says T Harish Rao
Hyderabad: Former minister and TRS MLA T. Harish Rao appeared contemplative at an event on Friday, saying, “There is no need for any post in public life. If you want to work, you can do anything. There is no retirement in politics.”
However, he also sounded a note of optimism.
He was speaking at a meeting organised to bid farewell to Medak zilla parishad chairperson Rajamani at Sangareddy on Friday.
The remarks were seen in the context of his political fortunes, and deemed significant. He has not been inducted in the Cabinet, and has been largely invisible at major events including the inauguration of the Kaleshwaram project, whose construction he oversaw.
“It is not important how you worked when you were in power. The good work done by you when you were in power will remain permanently in public (memory),” Mr Harish Rao said.
Mr Harish Rao said, “I came here to give a big farewell to Ms Rajamani who has completed her five-year term. This farewell is only for the post but not to our relationship or to public service. Think good and live good”. “In the coming days, all will get good opportunities.”
He said there was a lot of difference in the last five years. “Earlier every ZP meeting used to discuss the electricity problem till noon. Now there is no such problem,” he said.
