No dissatisfaction among Congress MLAs, says Karnataka minister Reddy
CHIKKAMAGALURU: Transport minister Ramalinga Reddy on Tuesday claimed that the annoyance expressed by some ministers and legislators who were left out of the Siddaramaiah cabinet during the reshuffle exercise, has ended.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Reddy said, “As of now, there is no dissatisfaction among legislators of the party. While, inducting new faces, it becomes inevitable to leave out some old leaders.” He, however added that women legislators should have been accommodated in the cabinet.
Asked about overoading of schoolchildren in vehicles, Mr Reddy said that this is happening because of a shortage of staff to oversee these vans. He said there are only 125 senior Regional Transport Officers and 181 juniors inspectors which makes it difficult to keep an eye on overloading of vehicles.
Mr Reddy sought the cooperation of police officials to check overloading and ensure schoolchildren reach school safely.
