BJP leader Muralidhar Rao challenges AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for debate
Hyderabad: BJP national general secretary P. Muralidhar Rao on Monday challenged AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for a debate on the Karnataka Assembly results. He alleged that Mr Naidu was preparing the ground to go with the Congress.
“Naidu views may change many times but his fraudulent history cannot be changed”, Mr Muralidhar Rao said.
Speaking at the Tela-ngana BJP state executive committee meeting here, Mr Muralidhar Rao said the BJP had increased its tally in Karnataka to 104 seats from 40, and the number of Congress seats had reduced to 78 from 120 seats, The JD(S) seats were also reduced to 37 from 40.
He said the people of Karnataka had given a revolutionary verdict for ‘Congress-mukt Kar-nataka’. The verdict was against the Congr-ess and the JD(S), but both parties had come together despite this to grab power. AICC president Rahul Gandhi had “hijacked” democracy, he added.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image had got anha-nced in Karnataka and challenged Mr Naidu for a debate on this. He said that there was no atmosphere in favour of regional parties.
He said that in TS and AP, the BJP was the only party that would be able run governments according to the wishes of the people.
