Only TD can sustain Andhra Pradesh’s growth: Nara Lokesh

The minister called out to the youth to take up the responsibility of bringing the TD back to power.

Visakhapatnam: Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday said that it was in the best interests of the state that the TD returns to power in the state.

“To complete pending projects and other development works in the state, the people have to choose the Telugu Desam once again,” Mr Lokesh told a group of students during an interactive session here.

The minister called out to the youth to take up the responsibility of bringing the TD back to power.

Addressing the students, he said, “The construction of Amaravati has just begun, the Polavaram project is half-complete. All these projects will be stalled if the Telugu Desam government doesn’t return to power. The youth should vote wisely and should elect an efficient and capable leader for the state.”

He added: “The state is at top in terms of development activities taking place. The youth in the state is very much happy about the fact that industries like KIA and others are being set up in AP. With many industries coming in, the youth is getting various job opportunities. Government schools are offering a tough competition to private schools and this shows our commitment for the future generations.”

Earlier, Mr Lokesh held a meeting with the industrialists of North Andhra region where he said that the TD government has given top priority to establishment of industries.

“We are also working hard for the development of the IT sector. AP has a special image in the country with the efforts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Industrialists like Adani are expressing interest to expand their units in the state. This reflects the dedication and hard work of Mr Naidu. We have drawn an action plan to resolve the issues for establishing industries,” he said.

Mr Lokesh also urged the industrialists to generate jobs for the unemployed youth.
