Former MLA, YSRCP leader Mutyala Papa joins TDP

The elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to be held on April 11 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls.

Amaravati: Former MLA from Narsipatnam and YSRCP leader, Mutyala Papa along with her husband Peda Babu and other followers on Friday joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the presence of party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the couple and other followers with a yellow shawl.

Ayyanna Patrudu, the sitting MLA from Narsipatnam, introduced the new entrants to the TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, at his Amaravati residence where Mutyala shifted loyalty from Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) to TDP.

The elections to the 175-member Andhra Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to be held on April 11 simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls. The counting of votes for both will take place on May 23.
