VIJAYAWADA: Water resources minister Ambati Rambabu termed launch of Yuva Galam by TD general secretary Nara Lokesh “the beginning of the collapse of Telugu Desam.”
Rambabu said Lokesh’s padayatra will get no mileage for the TDP. He pointed out that the TD general secretary has not won any election so far. Only because of former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he became a minister.
“Now, his (Lokesh’s) parents have forced him into the uphill task of the padayatra. No matter how many yatras he undertakes, he cannot become a leader,” the minister remarked, saying a leader must have certain qualities like perseverance and sincerity, which Lokesh does not have.
Rambabu maintained that YSRC has been providing an efficient administration in the state for past three and half years. Every welfare scheme is being implemented in a proper and transparent manner.
“Jagan had fought and won the last assembly elections with a landslide victory. He will repeat the performance again,” the minister declared.
