K Chandrasekhar Rao will be king and Kingmaker: Bhongir MP Bura Narasiah Goud

Hyderabad: According to the TRS, party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao will be both king and kingmaker post 2019 general elections.

“KCR will continue to rule Telangana and will play the role of a kingmaker since the TRS will win 16 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in the state,” Bhongir MP Bura Narasiah Goud told reporters here on Saturday.

Replying to a flurry of questions by the media on the internal bickering in the TRS, the MP ruled out any such problems. “KCR would be the Chief Minister even after 2019 elections. And since TRS will win 16 of the 17 LS seats, he will play a key role in the formation of the next Central government,” Dr Goud said.

Ruling out the possibility of the TRS either joining or striking seat adjustment deals with the BJP, the MP said: “It will never happen as long as TRS exists.”

He said in case national politics demanded so, Mr Rao may play a key role at the Centre and in such a scenario, he would nominate his successor for the Telangana CM’s post.

“He will be the CM in 2019 and even in 2024 elections, but in case he needs to play a key role at the Centre, he will decide the next CM here’ Dr Goud said.
