The delegation led by Mr Laxman submitted a representation to Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora in Delhi on Thursday.

Hyderabad: The BJP leaders in Telangana state have approached the Central Election Commission (CEC) over the alleged irregularities in the recent Assembly elections. BJP state president Dr K. Laxman also informed the CEC that Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) for TS has also apologised for the irregularities.

The delegation led by Mr Laxman submitted a representation to Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora in Delhi on Thursday.

They told him in some constituencies, duplicate votes were observed and in some constituencies additional votes were registered. The BJP has also submitted some statistics to the commissioner.

Dr Laxman said, “We have also informed about the missing votes. The CEO has said sorry for the missing votes but in democracy, this is not fair. We have demanded action against the officials responsible for the missing votes and the commissioner assured us that he would take action.”
