Jayalalithaa death probe panel summons TTV Dhinakaran, Krishna Priya
Chennai: After having summoned V. K. Sasikala and Apollo Hospitals management, the Justice A Arumughaswamy Commissionon Wednesday sought information from rebel AIADMK leader T T V Dhinakaran and his relative Krishna Priya related to its probe into former chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s hospitalisation and death.
The one-man commission has also sent summons to P S Poonkundran, long-time aide of Jayalalithaa, seeking a complete list of those who worked in the Poes Garden residence of the late chief minister.
While Dhinakaran and Poonkundran need not appear before the commission, Krishna Priya, Sasikala’s niece should appear before it in person, sources said. The sources said Dhinakaran has been directed to submit within a week documents and evidence in his possession in respect of Jayalalithaa’s hospitalisation and medical treatment till her demise.
“Poonkundran has been asked to immediately furnish information related to the employees of the late leader’s Poes Garden household and their contact details,” the sources said, adding that Krishna Priya has been asked to appear before the commission on January 2.
Besides, Sudha Seshayyan and Sathyabama, both doctors, reportedly privy to some information in respect of Jayalalithaa’s treatment and subsequent death, have also been asked to appear during the first week of January, the sources said.
