Telangana to take all party team to Delhi on SC quota split

The row erupted when Opposition parties demanded that the Speaker take up an adjournment motion they had given on SC categorisation.

Hyderabad: The state government will take an all-party delegation to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the categorisation of SC reservations, minister T. Harish Rao said in the Assembly on Tuesday.

Earlier TD members A. Revanth Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Congress MLA Sampath Kumar were suspended from the House for rest of the session for entering the Well of the House and escorted out of the House by marshals. Later, on the request of Opposition leaders, the government revoked the suspension.

The row erupted when Opposition parties demanded that the Speaker take up an adjournment motion they had given on SC categorisation. Speaker Madhusudana Chary said he would take it up after question hour, leading to protests.
