Revanth Counts on Unemployed, Kin of Migrants

Hyderabad: TPCC president A.Revanth Reddy called upon unemployed youth to play a major role in defeating the BRS in the November 30 Assembly polls and promised slew of benefits especially to those who had migrated to the Gulf for employment.

Speaking at an election meeting in Kamareddy, where he is taking on Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Revanth Reddy said, “I appeal to the 30 lakh unemployed people to become protagonists in the polling booths and make the Congress win. Only if KCR is buried, the souls of Telangana martyrs would be in peace," he said.

He asked the people not to get fooled again by the 'fake promises' being made by Rao. He alleged that the Chief Minister had deceived people twice with “fake promises” in 2014 and 2018, and was attempting to repeat it in 2014.

Addressing election rallies in Domakonda, Bibipet and Malkajgiri, apart from Kamareddy, the TPCC chief said that the 60 years of aspirations of the people had come true with the sacrifice of hundreds of people gave their lives for statehood. “Telangana, which was built on the foundations of sacrifice, has been transformed by KCR into a Telangana built on the foundations of lies.”

Revanth Reddy asked for a verdict at Kamareddy that would change the course of Telangana. "KCR is contesting in Kamareddy to grab land. If you vote for KCR he will loot your land worth crores of rupees. I am contesting here to protect Kamareddy land by fencing them," he said.

He alleged that the Kamareddy master plan had been temporarily halted due to the elections. “KCR will grab your lands again after the elections if he wins," Revanth Reddy alleged.

Saying he was unable to visit all villages in Kamareddy, Revanth Reddy said: “Bless me and make me win. I assure you I will meet everyone and solve all the problems."

He said the Congress had decided to set up the Vaishya Corporation, which Rao had promised but did not fulfill. He also promised to set up a welfare fund for the Gulf workers and Rs 10 lakh to the families of workers who die in accidents.

Revanth promised to take special measures to help bidi workers. He also promised to establish and develop an industrial corridor in Kamareddy.
