Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that he and Rahul Gandhi both are aged 54 but while both of his children have grown up and will be married in a few years, Rahul Gandhi still carries the tag of a 'Yuva Neta'.
Sarma was addressing an election rally amidst a sea of supporters in Parkal Constituency of Telangana.
He added that he feels sorry for Sonia Gandhi that despite her pleas, Rahul refuses to marry and roams around giving guarantee to people while his mother cannot take guarantee for him.
The Chief Minister said that the guarantees provided by Congress Party in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh have turned out to be hollow and the party is in no position to give any guarantee to the people of Telangana.
He also added that if there's one guarantee that the entire nation trusts, it is the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has delivered on all his promises to the people and ensured good governance throughout his tenure.
The Assam Chief Minister also reiterated the party's promise of 4 free LPG cylinders, ₹2 lakh to every girl child of Telangana, free pilgrimage to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and abolishing of minority reservation to ensure justice of SCs, especially the Madigas.
