Karnataka: Even Modi won with black money, says Vishwanath
Mysuru: “No political party, including the Congress, can win elections without black money and even Mr Narendra Modi has won elections with black money,” alleged senior Congress leader Adaguru H. Vishwanath here on Sunday.
He told reporters, “It is not possible to curb black money with demonetisation. It is not a big revolution. In fact, Rs 2,000 note has been a big boon for black money hoarders.”
Lambasting Kodagu-Mysuru MP Pratap Simha for making statements against him, he said, “The BJP and pro-Hindu leaders can’t portray other leaders as villains just because they don’t support the Centre’s move on demonetisation. It hurts. If I have black money, let the income tax people raid me. I am not a cheap politico. I am in public life for four decades and have been clean. My statements about Mr Modi have been misinterpreted by Mr Simha. I have not criticised Mr Modi, in fact, I have appreciated him for several good works,” he said.
