Naidu's Delhi visit to save his skin: YSR Congress
Vijayawada: YSR Congress has said that the sudden and unscheduled Delhi visit of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is only to save his skin and that of his coterie while his allegations in the National Capital has put the state in poor light and was found as a clear ploy to project the victims in airport incident as the accused.
Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday, party leaders Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao said that Mr Naidu spoke to National media that there were attempts to destabilise his government. “It looks absurd and meek and he has been trying to convert the attack on Leader of Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to his political advantage,” they said.
The two leaders said that Naidu’s sudden flight to Delhi speaks for itself as there was no programmed agenda and it only gives a picture on the wrong promise that he is the victim while it was the other way round.
“Naidu said that democracy is being threatened in the state. It is like devil chanting scriptures as it was he who had bought MLAs from the Opposition party and had given even Cabinet berths to some of them shamelessly besides charges of rampant corruption,” they said.
The two leaders said that the manner in which he reacted or did not react when there was an attack on Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy only shows his inhuman face and the language used by his party MP and ministers are derogatory and unacceptable to any strata. “Such persons should be ejected from public life,” they said.
The YSRC leaders said that before speaking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s failures, Mr Naidu has to set his house in order as to why he had gone back on the poll promises and did not secure the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act though he shared power with the BJP for four years.
Ministers term attack on Jagan as YSRC drama
Minister for agriculture, S. Chandramohan Reddy and minister for social welfare, N. Ananda Babu termed the attack on the YSR Congress president and Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as a drama to get sympathy from the public. They claimed that the TD was the first party to condemn the attack on Jagan but the opposition leader, without cooperating with the AP police, went to Telangana, which was severely objectionable.
Mr Chandramohan Reddy, addressing a press meet at Vijayawada, alleged that Mr Jagan did not trust the AP police and hence did not give his statement about the attack to the AP police; this was severely objectionable as the incident took place in AP. He refuted allegations that the accused, J. Srinivasa Rao who carried out the attack on Jagan, belonged to the TD and claimed that accused was an ardent fan of Jagan. He claimed that the AP police protected Jagan during his 3,000 km walkathon. He questioned the reason behind keeping the knife with Srinu, who was a relative of YSRC leader Botsa Satyanarayana, for two hours and claimed that there were no blood stains when Srinu handed over the knife to the police, which raised suspicions. Mr Chandramohan Reddy claimed that truth would be revealed during the SIT investigation and ruled out YSRC allegations.
Minister, Mr Anada Babu, alleged the involvement of Botsa Satyanarayana’s relative in the attack conspiracy on Jagan. He alleged that AP and Telangana states Governor, E.S.L. Narasimhan, seemed to be an agent of the Union government and was working as a mediator between Jagan, TS CM, K Chandrsekhar Rao and Pawan Kalyan.
