Telugu Desam may let Revanth Reddy quit on his own

The suspense over Revanth Reddy continued even after AP CM, who returned from his foreign tour, met with TS TD leaders.

Hyderabad: TD president and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will not expel party leader A. Revanth Reddy. It will be left to Mr Revanth Reddy to play his hand, party sources said on Friday. “Why should we suspend or expel him? We have removed him from the two posts. If he wants to remain in the party and retain the posts, he should convince Mr Naidu. Our reports say he will quit on his own in the next few days,” said the source.

The suspense over Mr Revanth Reddy continued even after Mr Naidu, who returned from his foreign tour on Friday, met with TS TD leaders. TS TD president L. Ramana briefed Mr Naidu on the developments on the Revanth Reddy front. Mr Naidu and said Mr Ramana had acted on his directions in removing Mr Revanth Reddy from the two posts.

A few leaders requested Mr Naidu for one-on-one meetings. Mr Revanth Reddy came to the meeting after attending the Assembly session, and sought personal audience. Mr Naidu then invited everyone to Vijayawada for one-on-one meetings. Mr Revanth Reddy refused to talk to the media, stating that he would first speak to Mr Naidu and explain his stand.
