KCR names son of MPP couple Taraka Rama Rao

Chandrasekhar Rao had named his son Taraka Rama Rao, who is a key minister in the KCR cabinet

Karimnagar: An estranged couple, who got together because of TRS and had a baby boy, got their kid named Taraka Rama Rao with the blessings of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao himself.

The couple of Ramadagu mandal – MPP Kaliketi Lakshman and Kavitha – got married eight years ago but due to misunderstanding separated and started living independently. They also decided to take divorce.

However, when MPTC elections had been announced two years ago and Ramadagu mandal MPTC seat got reserved for SC category, Lakshman, a TRS leader belonging to SC community, sought the party ticket from Ramadagu for his mother.

Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravi Shankar, who knew the family’s background, however, responded that the ticket will indeed be given to Lakshman’s family, but to his estranged wife Kavitha. This led to mediations with the MLA ensuring that the estranged couple got re-conciliated. Ramadagu SC ticket went to Kavitha and she won. Not only that, she became the mandal parishad president with Ravi Shankar playing a role behind the scenes.

Lakshman and Kavitha got blessed with a baby boy recently. When they came to know that CM Chandrasekhar Rao is visiting Karimnagar district, the couple met KCR with the help of Choppadandi MLA Ravi and desired that the CM name their boy Taraka Rama Rao.

Accepting their request, KCR took the boy into his hands and named him Taraka Rama Rao.

Incidentally, Chandrasekhar Rao had named his son Taraka Rama Rao, who is a key minister in the KCR cabinet.
