Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday called on Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Swami of Visakha Sri Sharada Peetham at Divine Centre in Filmnagar of the city and took his blessings on occasion of the Foundation Day of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.
Mr Rao, who had not been able to attend the installation of the idol of Goddess Rajashyamala in Visakha Sri Sharada Peetham at Visakhapatnam due to his busy schedule in view of the Lok Sabha elections, on Saturday met the Swami.
Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office said that the duo held discussions on spiritual and political matters for a while and the Swami also invited Mr Rao to attend a ceremony being organised in Vijayawada from June 15 to 18.
It may be recalled here that Mr Rao performed Goddess Rajashyamala Yagam under the supervision of the Swami for the victory of the TRS ahead of Telangana Assembly polls at the his farmhouse in Erravalli village.
