Rahul Gandhi will address five rallies: HK Patil

In response to a question, the campaign committee chairman disclosed that Gandhi will address his first rally on March 31 in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress Campaign Committee chairman H. K. Patil on Wednesday asserted that the party is making all out efforts to rope in Congress General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to campaign in the state.

Speaking to reporters here, Mr Patil said, “She has not given her approval yet for our proposal to campaign in Karnataka. Congress president, Rahul Gandhi will surely campaign in the state and has already given his approval. He will address four or five rallies in the state.”

In response to a question, the campaign committee chairman disclosed that Mr Gandhi will address his first rally on March 31 in Bengaluru.

“We (Janata Dal Secular-Congress coalition) are hopeful of winning no less than 22 seats as the trend is clearly in our favour in the state,” he contended.
