Piyush Goyal predicts resounding victory for Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan

Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, would get a big victory and the DMK candidate in Thoothukudi, Kanimozhi, would go back to Rajya Sabha.

KOVILPATTI: "Kanimozhi should go back to Rajya Sabha," said union minister and BJP leader in-charge of Tamil Nadu, Piyush Goyal, who explained his statement that on seeing the huge gathering of supporters of the NDA alliance in Kovilpatti, he was sure that his sister, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, would get a big victory and the DMK candidate in Thoothukudi, Kanimozhi, would go back to Rajya Sabha.

Appreciating Dr Tamilisai's Kovilpatti speech when she said that she had been mocked by the Opposition party members and memes creators for being dark in complexion, Piyush Goyal said, "Sister, don't regret. Black is the colour of this soil and Black is beautiful."

Personifying the electoral battle to war between a social worker, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan and a corrupt (Kanimozhi), Piyush Goyal warned that if Kanimozhi gets elected, she would indulge in more corruption.

Moreover, enlisting the port development workers being taken up at Thoothukudi VOC port, Piyush Goyal said that Thoothukudi port is to be developed to ensure thousands of new jobs for youths of the region, and the on-coming Thoothukudi - Chennai eight-lane project, would help farmers, fishermen, small traders and businessmen in Thoothukudi constituency, market their products.

Seeking a massive mandate for Tamilisai in Thoothukudi constituency and for P Chinnappan of the AIADMK in the Vilathikulam assembly by-election, Piyush Goyal said that people in the country wanted a strong leader like Narendra Modi as Prime Minister, who can fight against terrorism and protect India. "Our Prime Minister is a leader who destroyed terrorist camps by carrying out surgical strikes and sent our fighter jets into Pakistan to kill terrorists," said the union minister, and added that on the other side, leaders of the Congress and DMK suspect the bravery of our jawans and are supporting Pakistan and terrorism indirectly.

Remembering the former chief minister, J Jayalalithaa, as his sister and Prime Minister Modi, Goyal said that Jayalalithaa was a true nationalist and a leader who cared for the welfare of Tamil people. Further, appealing to the people to give a resounding victory for the NDA in the state, Piyush Goyal said that it would be the true tribute to her.

Later the same evening, Goyal also campaigned for the Puthiya Tamilagam president Dr K Krishnasamy in Tenkasi constituency and for Pon Radhakrishnan in Kanyakumari.
