YSRC MLAs force Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy's release

The YSRC activists started to gather at Mangalagiri Rural police station, after Mr. Bhaskar Reddy was shifted from Velagapudi.

Guntur: Tension prevailed at Mangalagiri police station after YSRC leaders staged a dharna demanding the release of their leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy. Mr Bhaskar Reddy was shifted to Mangalagiri Rural police station after he sat in front of the Assembly in protest of TD leader’s fiasco at deputy transport commissioner’s office and manhandling the security personnel of transport commissioner.

The YSRC activists started to gather at Mangalagiri Rural police station, after Mr. Bhaskar Reddy was shifted from Velagapudi.

Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy and YSRC state secretary Lella Appi Reddy have reached the police station but the police did not allow them to enter the premises. They were stopped outside the gates.

Both the leaders squatted before the gates and started raising slogans. As the news spreads across the town, more and more YSRC activists started pouring in and the situation turned tense.

Later, some YSRC MLAs also joined the protest. They have even entered into a verbal duel with the police. Guntur East MLA Mohammad Mustafa have climbed over the gates and entered the station. As the situation going out of hands police released Chevireddy at 4:15 pm.
