Hyderabad: The RSS is aware that it cannot implement Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar or Guruji’s idealised version of Hindu Rashtra and so it is resorting to bullying minorities, which is resulting in lynching incidents in the country, said Aakar Patel at the Hyderabad Literary festival on Sunday.
He was speaking on the topic ‘Our Hindu Rashtra: What It Is and How We Got Here’. He said there were very few people who liked to engage in this material (studying Hinduism). Mr Patel pointed out that most south Asian countries have given primacy to one religion, be it Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Mal-dives or Bangladesh. But India goes in the opposite direction and decapitates doctrinal Hinduism in the Constitution itself.
