Puducherry AIADMK MP meets TTV Dhinakaran

While Vellore MP Senguttuvan met Dhinakaran on Sunday, expelled MP Sasikala Pushpa called on him on Monday.

Chennai: AIADMK MP N Gokulakrishnan, who represents Puducherry in Rajya Sabha, on Tuesday met rebel leader T T V Dhinakaran here, in what is being seen as the first signs of migration from the ruling EPS-OPS camp.

Gokulakrishnan was one of the four Rajya Sabha MPs who recently switched over to the EPS-OPS camp after they were recognised as the AIADMK and allotted Two Leaves symbol by the Election Commission. He is the third MP to meet Dhinakaran since Sunday after his spectacular victory in the R K Nagar bypoll as an independent candidate.

While Vellore MP Senguttuvan met Dhinakaran on Sunday, expelled MP Sasikala Pushpa called on him on Monday. Meanwhile, Dhinakaran's supporter Va Pugazhenthi, who was removed as Karnataka secretary of the AIADMK on Monday, said the decision to oust the key aides of Dhinakaran from party posts was taken to prevent other party workers from joining the rebel leader, following his victory in the RK Nagar bypoll. “The bypoll results had proved that Dhinakaran was the most eligible person to lead the ruling party of Tamil Nadu,” he said.
