KCR wows Warangal, says it will always be special to him

Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that Telangana is now faced with the challenge of saving its self-respect.

WARANGAL: “The contribution of Warangal to the statehood agitation is immense. The people of Warangal have responded to every call given by me and ensured that the Telangana flag fluttered respectfully. That special place will always be there,” said caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao whilst addressing the ‘Praja Ashirvada Sabha’ here at the University Arts college ground in Hanamkonda.

Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that Telangana is now faced with the challenge of saving its self-respect. Appealing to voters of Warangal West, he said that the Congress has brought a TD candidate to defeat TRS.

“The people must prove that there is no place for migratory dominance. Do we need Chandrababu's dominance again?” he asked.

He shared that the government of India declared Telangana state as being ahead of Andhra Pradesh in many parameters. According to him, the state has seen a rise in financial resources over the past four years. It is currently 17.17 per cent, ahead of many states in the country. The annual income of the state has also increased from '12,000crore to '15,000crore, he noted.

“Former chief minister of AP, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy had said that Telangana would go dark if it was made a separate state. Today I am proud to share that AP does not have 24x7electricity as we do in Telangana. Telangana topped the list of states in terms of per capita power use,” KCR said.
He blamed AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for obstructing irrigation projects in Telangana.

“While we are making all efforts to irrigate one crore acres in the state, Chandrababu Naidu is obstructing it. There should be an end to this kind of dirty politics and it can be made possible only by you the people,” he said.
