K Chandrasekhar Rao speaks to rows of empty chairs at Warangal venue

The people started gathering at the ground from the afternoon for the 4 pm meeting.

WARANGAL: Even as caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao says he is seeing a TRS wave in the state, he spoke to rows of empty chairs in Warangal on Monday night. The public meeting at the University Arts and Science College in Hanamkonda was designed to address people from Wardhannapet, Warangal West and Warangal East.

The people started gathering at the ground from the afternoon for the 4 pm meeting. People came in tractors, trolley autos, private vehicles and hired buses. However, Mr Rao arrived three hours behind schedule.

He landed at Parkal when it was nearly dusk, and the helicopter could not take off after the public meeting due to the darkness. He then drove 40 km to reach the Hanamkonda public meeting venue.

By the time Mr Rao arrived at the venue, the public had started moving out. Midway through his speech, almost half of the chairs meant for the public were seen empty.
