ANSWERMADIMODI' campaign launched against PM in Karnataka
Continuing his attack on Modi, Siddaramaiah said certain important infrastructure projects are pending without support from Central Govt

BENGALURU: Accusing the Central Government led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of adopting anti-federal stance, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday stated to have launched #ANSWERMADIMODI (In English Answer Modi) and asked the people of Karnataka to join in the campaign.
On a social networking site, Siddaramaiah stated under Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Central Government, Karnataka’s aspirations and needs seem constantly overshadowed and the State has faced constant denial of funds despite contributing significantly to India’s economy.
Continuing his attack on Modi, Siddaramaiah said certain important infrastructure projects are pending without support from the Central Government while our revered Public Sector Undertakings such as Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel in Shivamogga face closure threat.
The Chief Minister pointed out that 216 taluks in Karnataka have been declared drought affected owing to weak monsoon this season and “the deafening silence and lack of assistance to tackle drought during times of natural disasters is deeply concerning.”
Adding, he said Karnataka has not been getting adequate funds from the Central Government and permission has not been accorded for aspirants to write various examinations of the Central Government in Kannada and thereby rendering injustice to lakhs of job aspirants.
Besides, he alleged that imposition of Hindi in Karnataka has been happening while important irrigation projects in River Cauvery basin, Mahadayi, Krishna and Upper Bhadra projects have meted out injustice to State farmers.
Karnataka’s very own banks such as Syndicate, Vijaya, State Bank of Mysore and Corporation Banks have been merged with loss making banks, the Chief Minister said and alleged that merger of banks has been betrayal to the State.
Under such circumstances, Siddaramaiah stated it has become inevitable to raise voice against injustice and asked the people of Karnataka to extend their support for the cause of Karnataka.
