Will expose conspiracy behind FIRs registered against MLAs: Kejriwal

Delhi Cabinet decided to convene one-day special session to discuss registration of wrong FIRs' against AAP MLAs.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said he would expose a "very big conspiracy" behind registration of false cases against AAP MLAs, ministers and him during a one-day special session of Delhi Assembly on Friday, setting another stage for confrontation with the Centre.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the Delhi Cabinet today decided to convene the one-day special session to discuss registration of "wrong FIRs" against Kejriwal, ministers and AAP MLAs besides other issues related to dengue and chikungunya cases.

"False cases against AAP MLAs n ministers, FIR against me, CBI raid on me - why? A v big conspiracy. Will expose in Del Assembly on Fri (sic)," Kejriwal tweeted.

The government's move comes after the Chief Minister was named in an FIR into alleged irregularities in Delhi Commission for Women by Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) even as the anti-graft body said that Kejriwal would not be questioned.

The chief minister had alleged that the FIR has been registered against him at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"It is clear that the FIR has the PM's nod. We will soon call a special session of the Delhi Assembly where we will expose the conspiracy behind this," Kejriwal had said last week.

Sources said that during the special session, the AAP MLAs will also attack all three BJP-controlled municipal corporations for "failing" to prevent spread of dengue and chikungunya cases in the national capital.

"The issue of MCD failing to fumigate across the city will be raised by the ruling party MLAs. The civic bodies have completely failed to clean the city following which there has been a spurt in the number of dengue and chikungunya cases," they alleged.

Since the Aam Aadmi Party has come to power in Delhi, Kejriwal government and BJP-led Centre have been at loggerheads on various issues including authority over the national capital.
