Amit Shah asks the state leadership to bring the Christian community to the NDA

Thiruvananthapuram: BDJS state president Thushar Vellappally has been made the convener of the National Democratic Alliance in Kerala. This was announced by BJP state president and NDA state chairman, Kummanam Rajasekharan, in Malappuram on Monday. Earlier, BJP national president Amit Shah had held a meeting with the state leaders and selected Kerala Congress (Thomas) president P.C. Thomas to represent Kerala NDA in the national committee. Mr Rajeev Chandrasekharan will be the vice-chairman.

Mr Kummanam told reporters that Mr Shah had directed the state leadership to bring the Christian community to the NDA after a meeting with Mr Thomas. “The Union government may also ask BDJS leaders to head one or two boards under the centre. This policy was adopted at the time when the committee was formed. Some factions of the Kerala Congress are already with the NDA and they don’t suffer any discrimination,” he said.

Mr Kummanam said that On October 6, the NDA would organise a massive convention where all the upcoming events and plans of NDA will be announced. “We are now a well-oiled machine and by December the NDA alliance will bring out a clear picture of the party and form committees on the basis of Assembly constituencies. In the next phase, we will form block committees,” he said. Janadhipathya Rashtreeya Sabha chief C.K.
