K Laxman tells KCR to bring in transparency

Hyderabad: BJP state president K. Laxman continued his battle on power deals on Monday and told Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to be prepared for a CBI inquiry into power contracts.

Dr Laxman asked if Mr Rao had an explanation for the corruption in the electricity board. “Due to the failure of the government, the power companies have incurred a loss of Rs 20,000 crore. KCR will be found guilty in the public court,” he said.

Dr Laxman said corruption in all sectors will soon be exposed by the BJP. He asked what made the government opt for expensive power purchases. He asked why the government had not made appointments to the ERC.
