Itinerary of Edappadi’s tour of London, USA

From America, Palaniswami flies on September 7 to Dubai where he will spend two days from September 8, the release said.

CHENNAI: Chief Minister, Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswami, who is leaving here for London on August 28, will first meet the officials of the International Human Resources Development Organisation there and sign an MoU for upgrading skills of doctors and paramedics in government hospitals in Tamil Nadu.

Mr. Palaniswami will then take a look at the Emergency Ambulance Service in the UK and also signs another MoU for importing best practices from the UK on controlling mosquitoes responsible for diseases like Malaria in TN.

A third MoU to establish a branch of the Kings College Hospital, UK, in Tamil Nadu, is also on the cards, according to an official press release here. Mr. Palaniswami will follow this up with a meeting with investors based in UK including the Hindujas, who have a substantial stake in Ashok Leyland in Chennai.

At Suffolk, he will visit 'IP Switch Smartgrid' factory to explore the possibilities of technology transfer in solar and wind energy generation systems for Tamil Nadu and later in the day is also slated to have meeting with UK members of Parliament.

On September 1 night, the Chief Minister leaves London for New York. In the USA, Mr. Palaniswami's programmes include meeting with US-based entrepreneurs, Tamil NRI entrepreneurs, a meeting with top executives of Ford and Caterpillar and a discussion with Foxcon and Lincoln Electric executives at San Francisco.

Mr. Palaniswami will on the following days travel to Buffalo in California state to discuss technical collaboration for a state-of-the-art livestock park planned at Thalaivaasal in Salem district of Tamil Nadu. He will also visit Bloom Energy's facilities in San Francisco to know about integrating renewable energy systems into the power grid of the State.

From America, Mr. Palaniswami flies on September 7 to Dubai where he will spend two days from September 8, the release said. CM participates in a consultation with industry captains at a 'Business Leaders Forum', which functions under the aegis of the UAE department economy and trade. Mr. Palaniswami will also do a town hall meeting with Dubai industrialists in a bid to persuade them to invest in Tamil Nadu and then return home on September 10, the release added.
