Chennai: Pitching for a healthy politics in Tamil Nadu, BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan sought to know why the media was showing so much attention on poll alliance and said there was still ample time for the BJP to decide on forming electoral alliances in the State.
“There is still time for forging electoral alliance. It can’t be expressed or announced by a tweet or (press) byte,” Dr. Tamilisai said on Sunday. Responding to queries from the media she said there were several issues involved in forming poll ties and things won’t materialise all of a sudden.
“Why this concern and why unconfirmed reports are doing the rounds? It will be announced with the guidance of our party high command,” she said.
Earlier, Dr. Tamilisai accompanied by the party members immersed the ashes of former Prime Minister A. B. Vajpayee in the sea near Ashta Lakhsmi temple in Besant Nagar. They took a boat ride to immerse the ashes in the deep sea. The boat was decorated with party flags and it also carried a huge portrait of Vajpayee.
