Bengalulur: The first half of the council meeting was marred by protests by BJP corporators. BJP corporator Mamatha Vasudev alleged that MLA Munirathna and his supporters have been harassing her. She then stormed to the well along with fellow BJP corporators.
Opposition party leader in the floor of the council Padmanabha Reddy alleged that Mamatha has been obstructed by Congress followers when she went for inspection in her ward. Moreover false complaints have been foisted against her without even bringing to the notice of the Mayor and not taking government permission.
Actor Darshan’s house:
The BBMP is yet to get a survey report about the encroachments on properties owned by the Sandalwood actor Darshan and Congress former minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa, said B. Veerabhadrappa, joint commissioner, Rajarajeshwarinagar zone.
He told DC that following the criticism the survey department is working on giving an accurate report on the drain encroachment and it is taking time. The BBMP will take up a survey of Global village tech park in Rajarajeshwarinagar zone to check whether it was built on a storm water drain.
