TTV has ruined lives of 18 MLAs: Thanga Tamilselvan
Chennai: AMMK rebel leader Thanga Tamilselvan on Wednesday criticised TTV Dhinakaran accusing him of functioning as "terrorist leader" especially in claiming to have sleeper cells in AIADMK.
"He has no qualification to be a leader. He is talking about sleeper cells (in AIADMK) just as a terrorist leader would talk. I am acting independently. Nobody is directing me. All the 18 MLAs who supported Dhinakaran lost everything in their lives and have literally comet to the streets. He has not learnt a lesson even after the party facing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections," Thanga Tamilselvan said. Speaking to reporters in Madurai he said Dhinakaran has not done anything to redeem the two leaves symbol.
"We believed him and strongly supported him but nothing was gained out of it. Now that he has announced to expel me from the party, I am feel satisfied and am calm. And I am not ready to join any party now. I will not go back to AMMK again," he added. He said Dhinakaran is attempting to dislodge the AIADMK government. "How we can accept this?" he asked.
Replying to Thanga Tamilselvan's allegation, AMMK leader Vertrivel said Thanga Tamilselvan is behaving like a mentally ill patient. "Till yesterday, he was with Dhinakaran and now he is strongly criticising him. He is in touch with two parties and has high expectations on getting MP post. Somebody is behind him and directing him and he is executing the assignment given to him," he added.
Fisheries minister D. Jayakumar said the party high command will decide on whether to accept Thanga Tamilselvan or not. "We will welcome everyone to join the AIADMK but not Dhinakaran and Sasikala," he said.
