KCR will surely play key role in government formation at Centre: Asaduddin Owaisi

Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will play an important role in the formation of the next government at the Centre.

HYDERABAD: All India Majlis-e-Itteha-dul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday said that Telangana State Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will play an important role in the formation of the next government at the Centre.

“It is a historical fact that we opposed him when the state was being bifurcated but please do not underestimate him, his political sagacity and his political shrewdness. Of all the politicians in India, he has this great sense of timing. I would not underestimate KCR for his timing. One must also remember that he was able to get a separate state and that in itself is a huge credit to him and he will go down in the history of Telangana,” he said.

The MIM chief added that, “Post election, he will have a very important role and I foresee that and I will prove it.”

BJP calls MIM president as ‘Neo Jinnah’

BJP spokesperson Samb-it Patra on Tuesday call-ed MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi “Neo Jinnah”.

“In today’s political sc-enario, I have no hesitation in saying that Mr Owaisi is the Neo Jinn-ah. This tactic of instigating Muslims to break away from the mainstream is a dangerous one and he is a repeat offender,” Mr Patra said.
Mr Owaisi responded with disdain. “Sambit is a kid. One should not speak about kids. My fig-ht is against the father of those kids. When elders talk, kids should keep their mouths shut.”

Earlier in the day, Mr Owaisi had enumerated some of the most shameful events in India’s post independence history. “One should never forget Mahatma Gandhi’s assa-ssination, the demoliti-on of Babri Masjid, the genocide of Sikhs in 1984 and what happened in 2002 in Gujarat,” he said.
