Congress bigwigs Deve Gowda, Moily, Muniyappa will lose, says B.S. Yeddyurappa

Bengaluru: State BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa has claimed that several top Congress leaders contesting the Lok Sabha elections will bite the dust and claimed his party will win 22 of the 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.

Addressing party workers here on Friday, Mr Yeddyurappa said, "Congress candidates M. Veerappa Moily (Chikkaballapur), K.H. Muniyappa (Kolar) and Dhruvanarayana (Chamarajanagar) will surely be defeated. You may also witness a surprise result inTumakuru where former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda is likely to be defeated by our candidate G.S. Basavaraju."

He hinted at the possibility of political instability in the state after the Lok Sabha poll results adding that differences between the ruling coalition partners, Congress and JD(S) will worsen after the results are out.
