High command will choose CM: VM Sudheeran
Alappuzha: The Congress high command will take a decision on the new chief minister after consulting the MLAs, according to KPCC chief V.M. Sudheeran.
He was speaking at ‘Janasamaksham-2016’ organised by the Press Cub here on Tuesday.
“In the Congress, nobody can now say who will be the next chief minister. We are confident that the next government will be a continuation of the present UDF government. However, the final authority of choosing the chief minister is the high command,’’ he said.
The BJP was trying to exploit communal feelings to seek votes, he said. They eliminate those whom they dislike and who disobey their instructions,” he said. “They spread intolerance and deny the right to live for the people peacefully. The BJP is a threat to the people of India and it should not be allowed to open an account in the state,” he added.
The CPM was following murder politics, he alleged. “They kill those who leave their party and join others. Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan’s recent statements have proved that the CPM was executing murder politics in Kerala. The CPM has become a tent full of criminals,’’ he alleged.
He also came down heavily on SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan and said he had got ‘Y’ category protection from the BJP government as a reward after Mr Natesan ceded the great SNDP Yogam to the RSS.
“The Yogam was set up by the great social reformer Sree Narayan Guru with clear objectives. But Natesan has led the Yogam to the RSS camp for personal gains. The RSS and the BDJS can’t make any inroads in the soil of Kerala,” he claimed.
