Telugu Desam veterans’ heirs face dissent

Tirupati: The heirs of top two Telugu Desam veteran leaders from Chittoor district are facing serious dissidence from their own partymen, who failed to get tickets to contest for the April 11 election.

It is said that the dissidents are creating trouble to the new entrants who are contesting for the first time in direct elections.

Party nominees for Srikalahasthi and Nagari Assembly segments, Mr Bojjala Sudhir Reddy and Mr Gali Bhanu Prakash, have been facing a tough time. While Mr Sudhir Reddy, son of former minister Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy, is feeling the heat from his own party leaders in Srikalahasthi, Mr Bhanu Prakash, the son of the late Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu, has not only been facing dissidence from party circles but his family too. He and his younger brother Jagadeesh were locked in a fight for the party ticket but the elder brother prevailed.
