ADILABAD: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leaders are mobilising Muslim minority intellectuals for All India Muslim Personal Law Board meeting on triple talaq, to be held for three days in Hyderabad from February 9.

A mass public meeting will be held at the MIM party office grounds, Darussalam on February 12.

According to party sources, MIM has appealed to the Muslim minorities to attend the meeting in large numbers from all the districts in the state to show their strength against the ‘Triple Talaq Bill’ being brought by the Central government.

Islamic scholars and leaders of various Muslim minority organisations will attend the meeting and chalk out the future course of action against the ‘Triple Talaq Bill’.

Party senior leader of Adilabad, Mohd Farooq said that they were mobilizing the Muslim minorities in large numbers for the meeting, to put up strong opposition to the efforts being made to bring the law in connection with triple talaq against the ‘Shariat’ by the BJP.

He said they were expecting lakhs of Muslims to attend the meeting to be held on February 12.

Recently, MIM party president, Asaduddin Owaisi had attended a meeting on Triple Talaq held in Adilabad town and came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his silence on the ‘Pakadwa’ marriages taking place in large numbers in Bihar.

MIM leaders participated in all the meetings against the Triple Talaq Bill organised in many districts in the state.
