YSRC dares Naidu, PK for debate on Arya Vaisyas' welfare

Vijayawada: Former minister and YSR Congress MLA Vellampalli Srinivas Rao challenged Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh, saying that he was ready to discuss what he did to Arya Vaisyas and also ready to come to the Telugu Desam office for the discussion.

He said that the YSRC government led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was working for the development and welfare of the Arya Vaisya community, but opposition parties were trying to mislead the masses on this issue. Hence, he is ready to prove development and welfare with all proofs, he added.

Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Srinivas Rao lamented that some political parties were trying to trouble him under the guise of Arya Vaisya Sanghas. He pointed out that Naidu never gave priority to Arya Vaisyas in the Telugu Desam government. He claimed that after Jagan Mohan Reddy became the CM, he gave many political and nominated positions to the Arya Vaisya community.

Regarding the denial of permission for the mass program of Arya Vaisyas on the banks of the Krishna River, MLA Srinivas said that the organisers did not give information to the police regarding the performance of the mass Satyanarayana Vratamas.

He said that presently thousands of devotees were coming for Kartika Pournami baths in the Krishna river on the occasion of auspicious Karthika month, but the group planned the event to cause trouble for the devotees with ill intentions.

The MLA alleged that Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and the BJP were Hindu traitors as they destroyed 40 temples in Vijayawada during the TD-JS-BJP government, and they did not reconstruct those demolished temples.

He pointed out that the BJP, which claims to be the protector of Hindus, never objected to the demolishing of temples. He recalled that CM Jagan was reconstructing those temples. He said, “The TD is shedding crocodile tears on Arya Vaisyas and asked if Lokesh has the guts to give Vijayawada West TD tickets to Vaisyas.”
