People want change of government at Centre, claims CPI leader Raja

Vijayawada: General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI), D. Raja, believes that the people are tired of the BJP rule and of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) that runs the government from behind.

“The people are ready to give them a send-off. The Congress and its allies would register victories in all five assembly poll-bound states,” he has asserted.

Addressing a press conference along with CPI state secretary K. Ramakrishna at the Dasari Bhavan, Raja said the Narendra Modi-led central government was implementing “anti-people” policies. Hence, the people would change the government, he claimed.

Raja said the minorities were living with a sense of insecurity. The secular and democratic parties should unite and fight against the “anti-people” BJP to defeat it in the next general elections, he said.

CPI state secretariat members Akkineni Vanaja, G. Eswaraiah and J. Wilson participated in the press meet.
