Senior TRS leader Gattu quits party
Gattu said that he had failed to gain KCR's affection and recognition and hence, would not like to continue in the party
HYDERABAD: TRS senior leader Gattu Ramachandra Rao tendered resignation to the party on Thursday. Gattu, who worked as party state secretary, sent his resignation letter to TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
In the letter addressed to Rao, he stated that he had failed to gain his affection and recognition and under these conditions he felt that it was not right on his part to continue in the party. He joined TRS in February 2015 when he was the official spokesperson of YSRCP in Telangana.
Gattu expected MLC nomination for his service to TRS since 2015 but became upset after his name was missing from the list of 18 candidates released by KCR to contest MLC polls under MLAs quota and local bodies quota recently.
