K Chandrasekhar Rao fears threat from family: Revanth Reddy

The campaign later moved from Ichoda in Boath constituency to Pembi in Khanapur.

ICHODA (ADILABAD): TS Congress working president Revanth Reddy claimed that caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had bulletproof glass fixed even on his bathroom windows at Pragathi Bhavan as he was facing a threat from his own family.

Starting off his election campaign with a road show and public meeting at Asifabad, he asked the people to hit Mr Rao with rubber slippers for his failure to protect the interests of farmers, if he came to Ichoda. The campaign later moved from Ichoda in Boath constituency to Pembi in Khanapur.

He appealed to the people to vote for Mahakutami candidates Atram Sakku in Asifabad, Rathod Ramesh from Khanapur and Soyam Bapu Rao in Boath.

Speaking at Ichoda, Mr Revanth Reddy said, Mr Rao had never worked for the people of the state and all he did was “sleep in his farmhouse w-hile avoiding the Secre-tariat”.

“Pragathi Bhavan was constructed spending crores of rupees but Chandrasekhar Rao had failed to construct 2BHK houses for the poor in the state,” he said. He also asked why had Mr Rao given tickets to defectors if he had the confidence that the party would win 100 seats.
