Palakollu MLA takes up sanitation work in protest against YSRC govt failures

KAKINADA: Palakollu Telugu Desam MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu registered his protest against the government and took up sanitation works along with other workers in Palakollu on Thursday.

The MLA said the YSRC government had promised the poor it would provide TIDCO houses free of cost. “The promise has not been fulfilled. I am taking up different forms of protest to highlight the failures of the YRC government and bring these to the notice of the chief minister.”

He was taking up “protests” like distribution of papers in the early hours of the morning to subscribers, cleaning the streets and doing the sanitation works.

He said the YSRC government has scrapped the plan for building 640 TIDCO houses for the poor in Palakollu. “The government has sanctioned house sites to the poor at Kaja Goppu village at a distance of 20km from Palakollu. The land is not suitable for constructing houses.”
