Vijayawada: YSRC senior MLA and former minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao Nani has countered the “Nijam Gelavali” campaign launched by Nara Bhuvaneswari, spouse of Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.
“Nijam Gelichindi – truth has prevailed. That is why the former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu has landed in jail for his corrupt activities,” Nani retorted.
The former minister accused the entire Chandrababu Naidu’s family of corruption. “Look at the wealth of NTR’s other family members. Compare it with that of Nara Bhuvaneswari and Chandrababu. Naidu’s wealth has increased from meagre two acres of land to a whopping ₹2,000 crore,” he stated.
Kodali Nani went on to allege that Naidu’s family has paid more than ₹35 crore to lawyers in Delhi in an attempt to get jailed Naidu released from jail.
Taking a jibe at Bhuvaneswari’s bus yatra, he underlined that the cost of the bus itself is over ₹7 crore. “Could they have generated this kind of wealth by just ploughing a field and practising agriculture,” he asked.
The former minister maintained that people of AP have lost faith in Naidu due to his corrupt practices. He asserted that people of the state will vote Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as Chief Minister again and again.
Kodali Nani remarked that TD general secretary Nara Lokesh’s inefficiency has been exposed, as his mother Bhuvaneswari has had to take out the bus yatra for getting Naidu released from jail.
