Ganta Defends Skill Development Centers, Challenges Jagan\'s Criticism

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam North constituency MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao has objected to criticism of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that the erstwhile Telugu Desam government had used skill development centres for committing irregularities.

“Our government ran these centres as centres of excellence. Thousands of people got trained at these centres and secured jobs,” he maintained.

Srinivasa Rao asserted that the Telugu Desam Party is ready for a public discussion with YSRC ministers and advisers on performance of skill development centres.

“I will leave politics permanently if it is proved that there have been irregularities in skill centres,” he declared.

Srinivasa Rao spoke after he and Visakhapatnam East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu visited skill development centres in Andhra University on Thursday.

He said TD is outraged over YSRC trying to take political revenge against TD chief Chandrababu Naidu. He expressed hope that their party leader will be released from jail after the court vacations.
