T Harish Rao slams congress for chalo assembly'

Harish Rao said the government's track record in the Assembly clearly indicates that it is prepared to discuss any issue.

Hyderabad: Stating that when the government has decided to discuss a number of public issues, including the agricultural crisis, Legislative Affairs minister T. Harish Rao on Wednesday slammed the main Opposition Congress for its ‘Chalo Assembly’ rally highlighting the agrarian crisis in the state on the opening day of Assembly session.

Speaking at TRS Legislature Party office, Mr Harish Rao said the government’s track record in the Assembly clearly indicates that it is prepared to discuss any issue for any number of hours and days but the Congress was either disinterested in discussions or had baulked and made some excuse or the other.

He said that the government was prepared to discuss any issue and the Congress could come with an agenda to the Business Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday.

He reminded that it Leader of the Opposition K. Jana Reddy, had banned all agitations and procession taking place in and around the Assembly precincts when he was the state home minister.
